 Built in 1902, the Cairo Egyptian Museum is home to the greatest collection of Pharaonic antiquitiesOne of the major highlights of this museum are the treasures of King Tutankhamon, discovered in his tomb in 1922. With over 120,000 items forming the exhibition of the museum, it is necessary to be selective during a visit.
 
 
 
 
 
 A 2-3 hour visit would be good enough to venture into the main galleries of the museumand familiarize with the ancient Egyptian history and art. However, a full-day tour to the museum will bring it life, and it is a dream come true for those willing to study Egyptian antiquities in depth.

***Please dress conservatively especially when visiting churches and mosques. Also, please be aware that intimate behavior; i.e. holding hands or kissing is not acceptable inside churches and mosques. Photography is restricted inside some churches, so please consult your guide first. Should you wish to photograph people then please ask for permission.
